SASSA
I app**** for old person grant on 28.04.2021 online, sending them al the forms and documents with sworn affidavits of all. After 5 months and numerous calls to them SASSA advised that they needed another form signed (All their forms does not have a section to sign). I signed the forms and sent it to them. They then came back asking for proof of address and a copy of my ID which was sent to them with the first documents but I resent it to them. They then came back telling me to check my status, again after many emails I was informed that my status do not match with Home affairs. I again send them my ID and my divorce order and now they are telling me to go to my nearest office. Why should I go stand in a queue for hours when they have been dealing with my case. This was done online and should be handled online. The people at the office is not going to know any better when I face them as they have do not have knowledge of my case. It is now 6 months that this has been going on. I am 61 years old with back problems and cannot stand in a queue for hours on end. In the meantime I have not had an income for 6 months. Getting this case finalised wil be appreciated so that I can atleast get an income.
