I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by the Edenvale police when I needed assistance following a car accident. I had a serious dispute with a towing operator who claimed to be from MMM Towing Services. He demanded R11,800 for towing-related charges. I was distressed and unable to afford this amount. I expected the police officers who were present to at least ask the towing operator for proper documentation, an invoice, proof that he represented a legitimate towing company, or an explanation of how these charges had been calculated. Instead, I felt that the officers did very little to establish what was actually happening. They did not appear to question the towing operator about the charges or demand any supporting documentation. The situation ended with the officers essentially negotiating with me to pay R5,000. I was the person who needed assistance, yet I felt completely alone and unsupported while the towing operator was allowed to dictate the situation. I am not saying that the towing operator was a ********, because I cannot prove that. My concern is that the police did not properly investigate or establish the facts before allowing the situation to be resolved in this way. What exactly is the role of the police in a situation like this if they will not ask basic questions, check documentation, or protect a person who is clearly distressed and vulnerable? This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in the Edenvale police. I hope that the station management will investigate how this incident was handled and explain what procedures officers are supposed to follow when a member of the public has a dispute with a towing operator. People who are involved in accidents are already frightened and vulnerable. We need police officers who will investigate, ask questions and protect people—not simply stand by while a distressed person is pressured into paying money.

Edenvale police are ***ards and ******* Last week myself and my wife went kota joes in Edenvale As i was walking to my vehicle.two police officers stoped next to us jumped out and demanded to look through my things searching myself and my wife.the way they went on they looked like njahopies asking me every few seconds if i have drugs for them. So why is your moegoe personel abusing their badge and abusing their authority. Why are you searching south African pregnant white woman on the streets instead of actually catching, arresting and deporting YOUR DRUG DEALING BUDDIES you all collecting money from.the same people thats trafficking and selling our young south African children. I have collected enough evidence against more then half on your personel to have them all arrested for *******ion drugs,******ion, trafficking of children and theft. I launched an investigation on this police station at the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID). You are the 7th police station i have successfully launched an investigation on. You abuse your authority steel what you want do what you want and worst you allow your ******** friends to kill our children and **** our country. The last 10 police personel arrested for the same things wasn't a wake up call for them they just continue like nothing happened. I will make it my job to get you ******* police from Edenvale all arrested for the things you are doing to our south african children , woman and men just so you can have extra money in your pocket. I suggest you get educated competent staff south africa can depend on.these police officers is no better then the ********s destroying our community. Good luck with the investigation. I hope your entire station's personel gets what they deserve.jail time.
