Poor or unfair treatment from Sanrose and Old Mutual
I was involved in an accident where someone bumped into me and i went to get a case opened and the insurance (Old Mutual) gave me Sanrose as place where the car can be fixed. i then took the there , on the day of dropping of the car i showed the lady that was taking the car that i can only open my car using the key as the buttons are not working , i explained to her that when you open on drivers side it will automatically open all the doors. then they kept the car for two weeks. after they finished fixing the car they called for me to come collect the car which i did. when i got there we checked the car but obviously we checked the outside of the car and didnt check inside. i left and went home when i got home i realized that car car was not locking at all and the lights inside were not switching on. the next morning i called them and spoke to a guy by the name of Suren and told him that something is wrong with the car and he said i must bring it so they can check it. i drove there and showed him that i now have to lock the doors manually and the lights dont switch on and he said maybe its a fuse and then he took the car drove it to the back where they fix or work on cars. he came back but when he came back i noticed the boot sign was on and i told him we both tried to close the boot but sign wouldnt go away and he said he thinks that all these faults could be because of the fuse and he suggested i bring back the car back for at least two days. I then contacted my broker informing her of what has happened and we engaged with the panel beater until i took back the car. the day i dropped of the car i showed them again what is wrong with the car and they gave me their car and i left. the next day i got an email from Sanrose telling me that they got an Assessor and the Assessor says the car is not like that due to impact of the accident. the issue here is that when i took the car there everything that i am talking about was working well until they worked on the car. i then asked my broker to take this further because its not fair that my car was ok when it was left there then the insurance bring the issue of the key ...saying my car keys are not in good condition. then my question was that i have been using that key like that for almost 6 months and what does the key have to do with my boot , central locking and lights and now my aircorn ? now the insurance says i must get a quote from /hyundai because thy cant do anything about this? is it fair that i must be left with a car that i must make sure i lock manually ? the other the kids forgot to lock when we were at a Mall because they are not used to this ? i told the insurance that its possible that when they removed the passenger door maybe they tempered with wires or something cos i have never had these problems.
can i please be assisted in this regard?
