Toll road = 40 minute detour

Hi I was waiting for 40 minutes today before the Vaal Plaza North before I could pass the toll boom My understanding of the toll road and system is less time on the road therefore less stress etc Today I experienced exactly the opposite. While I was waiting in line. I was phoning the sanral call Centre which could not assist me and referred me to the Vaal toll gate. I phoned and they assured me that all is fine and all gates are operating. Once arriving at the gate one of the gates was not functioning and one was for etoll only. My recommendation is: If you can not handle the volumes. Open your booms to fast track traffic. This is the first priority Second. Warn motorists long before the alternative route turn off that there will be a long delay on the toll road. OH yes, when I asked if I could speak to the manager. There was apparently no one on duty. I do not buy that. Please sanral get your act together! Pierre
