Think twice before registering and E-toll account

When I sold my second car, I immediately cancelled the e-tag on the e-toll website. Two weeks later I received a statement indicating I was charged for not returning the e-tag. I never received notification to return the e-tag. Upon further investigation an e-toll consultant called and found that the email notification was sent to my previous employers email address. My e-toll account was credited R150 and I was on my merrily way. But now there is a VPC Violation due to my account been overdrawn. This is no fault of mine as this was during the period when the e-tag notification was never sent to me. It has been two weeks since I logged an enquiry and these *********** team have yet to get back to me. This is disappointing as I was trying to do the right thing yet I have been let down by their system and process.
