SANRAL E-Toll
On Friday 10 November I travelled on the N1 North towards Polokwane.
When I arrived at the Kranskop Toll Gate at the uttermost left lane at about 12h30, I presented my Bank Card for payment, but was informed by the cashier that SANRAL do not accept Bank Cards as a mode of payment and that I must pay cash, because according to the SANRAL cashier a payment by card takes 24 hours to reflect in SANRAL's account.! I was not given a receipt for my cash payment.
Please also explain why bank cards are accepted by the next Toll Gate on the route and as far as I know by all other SANRAL Toll Gates and other Toll Gate Operators.
This is absurd and if it is true, it should be brought to the attention of all N1 North and other SANRAL Toll Gate road users.
I have sent an email to SANRAL's Customer Care, but needless to say they did not respond to my email despite several reminders.
I would be very surprised if you get any form of a reply from SANRAL.
Paathetic, and I smell a rat!
