No road for users to drive on

I am currently travelling between Qhorha and Butterworth to arrange my late mother's funeral but I cannot due to roadworks happening on the road going into Qhorha. The road is completely closed off and I cannot drive through and now I am stuck. I do not have a bakkie to drive on the terrain as I have a small car. I appreciate what they are doing but they could have made provision for the road users and made a temporary road for us to use while they are repairing the main road. The men on site were very rude to me when I inquired where to drive as i needed to pass and be in Butterworth for the funeral arrangements. Can somebody please assist urgently as I am stick here and need to start with the preparations.
