Why carry on paying . Invest rather

Sanral has recently written off anything older than 3 years of debt. This is unfair for us paying. My wife and I have paid approx. R40, 000 on e toll and Sanral has still to successfully convict a single person for not paying.

So why should we carry on paying... I would rather invest the money and if needed one day then pay SANRAL .
