SANRAL *****ING AT TOLL GATES (JHB-NATAL)

Last week I posted a complaint due to the amount of time & effort it took to put money into my e-toll account. It was already positive, but I was going to Natal for the weekend and wanted to put more on so I didnt have to stop at the toll gates. At the 1st toll gate I think 2 cars in front of me had to back up and go into other queues. I assumed they'd gone into the wrong (e-tag only) lane. When I got there my e-tag wouldnt register. I reversed & went forwards 2 or 3 times. Just when I stopped to get out and ask the car behind me to move backwards it beeped. From then I was too scared to use the e-tag lanes as the traffic was IMMENSE from Jhb to Natal on Thurs morning. So I had put money onto my e-tag and then COULD NOT USE IT.

On the way back from Natal (at the toll at Mooi River) I paid the lady. As she gave me my credit card back my e-tag BEEPED!!!! I paid TWICE for that toll. The next few were fine. I think the 1st one into Jhb I went through and was in the PAYING lane, my e-tag beeped - AND THEN BEEPED AGAIN.

The 5 or 6 gantrys you pass under from Jhb South to the North all beeped fine, which means that my e-tag was not faulty at all, but the toll gates were!! Not only could I not use the hassel free toll gates, which Id already essentially paid for, but then twice on the way back I had to pay TWICE at 2 gates??? WHAT IS GOING ON SANRAL!?!

You should not even have cameras aimed at cars in the paying lane. Its a ****. If I had an account but knew I had no money in it, and went to pay with cash, it would've beeped at me several times indicating I was out of money, and then Id get charged triple the amount as a penalty!! Meanwhile I could be paying cash - perfectly legal to pay cash through a toll gate is it not!

SERIOUSLY???? I MEAN REALY - SERIOUSLY IS THIS REALLY WHAT WE ARE MEANT TO PUT UP WITH!?! I get yelled at by EVERYONE for even having an e-tag at all!!! They tell me I am enabling the ******* government by doing it. And the reason I got one was not to be a law abiding citizen or to aid anyone in any way except to protect myself!!! The FEW MINUTE TINY amount of people who have e-tags are taken for such a ride - SANRAL - you are *****ING FROM THE POEPLE WHO BOUGHT YOUR STUPID TAGS!!!!!!!!!

I will certainly remove mine from my car and ignore the "charges" I incur. WHY SHOULD I KEEP THE TAG WHEN ITS COSTING ME EVEN MORE MONEY THAN ITS MEANT TO - AND the hassel of not being able to use the e-tag lane - SANRAL *&*^$&@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
