Sanral e-toll ignores wrongfull statements query

On 6 May 2016 I received the following Suspension Confirmation Letter from Sanral:

"We wish to advise you that your e-toll Account has become inactive which is a temporary suspension of your account due to non-payment. Due to your e-toll account being inactive, the toll booms at conventional toll plazas will not open automatically and you will be required to pay at the plaza using an alternative method of payment. Should payment not be made into your e-toll Account, any outstanding balance on it will be handed over to the Violations Processing Centre which may result in additional costs being incurred."

It states that my account has been suspended due to non-payment of a balance of R22.50.

I have had a positive balance of R16.70 since 2015. I live in Limpopo and have not been to Gauteng this whole year, so how can I all of a sudden have a negative balance?!

I attached the last statement I have saved(I don't have newer statements because nothing has changed on my account until today) to an e-mail addressed to them that same day, but have not heard from them or at least received a message that they will look into my problem. It might only be a measly R22 but it is still a fault from their side and I expect them to rectify it.

The people of SA already have a negative view of sanral and problems like these only make it worse.
