Mystery e-toll charges

I have made use of an e-tag since they were introduced some years ago, as I believe it's the right thing to do. However, for the past 8 or 9 months I have been charged for another vehicles trips as, according to Sanral, my number plate has been cloned and the vehicle is identical to mine - very irritating as I have a pre-paid tag and the vehicle with the cloned plate has no tag. Fortunately, my vehicle also has a tag from my insurer, so I am able to prove any trips for my vehicle but, this takes quite some time to gather all the documentation to email to Sanral, in order for the incorrect charges to be reversed. The simple fact is, my vehicle has not travelled on a highway since July, 2020 as I've worked from home for the past 10 months. Whilst Sanral have generally been very good about crediting my account, they can offer no solution to this very irritating problem. I also have concerns that the vehicle with the cloned plate could be accumulating speeding fines or even be used in the commission of a crime, for which I would probably be held responsible. I'm at my wits end!
