Be aware of unforseen travel cost at the consumers expense.

I found it rediculouse that the tetsikama toll plaza does not accept debit cards. It's the one form of payment that most people have on them. I would understand if there was visible signage that stipulates the form of payments accepted.

I could only find a notice board hidden behind a bush 800m from the toll plaza. 14km away from the nearest ATM.

After I did my calculations it cost me R135 including the R57 for the toll to enter the Eastern Cape from Cape Town. (Breakdown of costs at the bottom of this complaint.)

To make matters worst. When I attempted to call the advertised number *** it goes straight to voice mail. The Cape Town regional number had me on hold for 28 min telling the operator (not operators) is busy. The Pretoria etoll number on the website informed me they are closed on a public holiday. My goodness a national road agency is closed for customer care on a public holiday.

Cost breakdown: TOLL FEE: R57.00 24km driven @ 8km per liter= 3.5liters @ 19.54 per liter = R68.39 bank charges for min withdrawal of R100.00 was R9.75. Total: R135.14
