Sanparks needs to improve - to be more acceptable for overseas tourists.

We found that the Kruger park had generally deteriorated. The service both at the gates and the camps was not as friendly and efficient as it used to be. At Oliphants the ******s were really a big problem, and even tried to get into the chalet rented by our friends. I think you almost need guards to patrol from, literally, sunrise to about 9am, which is when the ******s seems to be the most active. The personnel at the picnic sites are generally very helpful, but a lot of the picnic sites need some upgrading - broken chairs and rusted tables. At Oliphants (chalet no. 7) The electricity plugs are inacessable. At Tamboti Tented camp the microwave was inside the tent but not near any plugs and it looks as if one would have to carry it outside. to plug it in for use. Difficult for older people - other than that Tamboti was lovely (again careful of ******s). Chalets at Letaba need to be upgraded - they look very tired.
