Double charged at Kruger National Park Crocodile Bridge

<p>On the 27th of December 2016, my husband and I, with our two children aged 7 and 1, visited the Kruger National Park. We entered through the Crocodile Bridge Gate, via an online pre-booking I had made which amounted to R95.00.</p> <p><br />The lady who was operating the pay point at the gate, Phumzile Sithole charged us an amount of R228, which included two adults and two children. My husband then corrected her and told her that the other child was 1 years old and does not pay. She then asked for my bank card, to try and reverse the R228 that had already gone through my bank account and then charged us the correct amount of R190. She told me that the amount of R228 had been reversed back into my account and it would soon reflect in my bank account. She then tried to swipe for the amount of R190 from my account, but it declined because there were insufficient funds (R-228). My husband then used his bank card to pay the amount of R190.</p> <p> <br />This means that my family and I spent a total of R513 for a mere day visit to the Park ( R95+ R228+R190).</p> <p> <br />I have called and sent sms's to the Crocodile Bridge Gate and have spoken to Tinyiko and Jerry several times on ********** 898 and ********** regarding the reversal of my funds, I have also called their head office in Pretoria and spoke to a lady named Pearl on ********** , who promised to call me back, but never did. I have sent an e-mail as well to the reservations department dated 16/01/2017, but I have gotten no response or feedback from them, they have not been able to assist me. My husband has also called them several times but could not be assited. It's been 3 weeks now since my family and I have visited the park and i still have not yet been refunded/ re-imbursed.</p> <p> </p> <p> I am very dissapointed in with the manner in which they have handled this matter, I am an avid fan of the Kruger National Park and visit often with my family, we were planning on visiting it again during the Easter holidays, but due to this incident, I most certainly doubt that I will ever visit the park again.</p> <p> </p> <p>Mrs A M Mbatha</p> <p> </p>
