Trying times!

I have been a member for more than 9years now with Samwumed Medical aid, my employer gives a percentage and the other is taken directly from my salary slip. Now that I need them the most they cannot assist me what is the use of having Medical aid anyway if we paying co-payments and levies all the time. I am a single mother with no other income or a grant to assist I also pay taxes and VAT just like the rest is of SA. I am so disappointed in Samwumed for not having ADHD as an chronic illness as the rate children are diagnosed with the above mentioned illness it's supposed to be reviewed and assist parents even adults with the cost of this medication. My child cannot go without this medication and they refuse to assist even with a clinical motivational letter from the psychiatrist. I cannot afford these tablets as a single parent a R1200.00 is a lot per month for one month supply. Terrible service I'm so disappointed! No choice but changing to another Medical Aid who can assist.
