Death pension fund

My brother passed away in 2018, he was working for Niqua security in knysna at the time of death. That company never sent even condolences not even a delegate to the funeral. Now the issue is we had to investigate his pension after noting the deductions from his payslip, we have found out the money is invested with the company called Salt employee benefits on our own without getting any help from Niqua, till today we have not received any thing not even communication from Salt, even though we have made numerous phone calls.
