Where does the license money go?

They are in such disarray, it seems they are scrabbling to ***** money from honest people who have paid licenses for more 35 years. Although their offering is not geared in any way to paying license holders. I don't think I have ever been asked what I would like to see on SABC. I received two sms notifications saying my license was due and then the threatening sms message demanding an extra R30.10 on top of the R265.00 OR YOU WILL BE HANDED OVER!!!!! When you use their portal to pay your license it only allows for you to pay R295.10. Having paid, I then receive a subsequent legal email and, two more sms messages and a another email confirming I should pay R265.00 before the 15th May. Well today is only the 5th but they have taken the extra money and don't even bother to acknowledge with a thank you for your payment. Since it would seem the SABC cannot continue financially in its current form, what exactly is my license fee going towards?
