Watch out for late payments and penalties!!!

I forgot to pay my TV Licence during lock down and paid it 4 months late. We received an sms to say that we have been charged interest of R 54.00 which I paid immediately. The 1st of March I paid my TV licence for the year which was only due by the 31st of March. Today I received correspondence dated 09/03/2021 stating that I still owe them R 149.50 in penalties. Really R 203.50 in penalties for a late payment of 3 months. This is easy way to get in funds! What about the people who have TV and watch SABC 1,2 and 3 and never pay?
