Unwarranted payment threats

SABC needs to improve their Administration process! SABC personnel stated that in order to cancel my TV license an affidavit needed to be completed. In March 2016 a copy was sent through and my TV license ( ********** 47) should have been cancelled accordingly. To date it seems this is not so as I received an SMS that I owe 10K and must make a payment immediately. This doesn't make any sense. Why hasn't my license been cancelled? SABC even sent an SMS stating I have been handed over to Pritchard & Associates for debt collection who I in turn sent a copy of the affidavit in Jan 2017 and as I haven't received any response I assumed this case has been closed so why is SABC still demanding payment. I can't and won't pay for something I haven't owned since moving to Cape Town in 2012.
