TV Licence to be discontinued

I want 1 reason as to why I should pay TV licence, I don't have a satellite dish, any aerial, or any connections to SABC, don't watch any broadcasts by them, I have a wifi used for streaming, which I pay for, my enentertainment is nedflix which I pay for, power for use of my TV, I pay for,SABC wants money from me for no reasons what so ever, how is legal, The TV is just like any appliance in my house which serves a purpose to me, I am not paying a fee to use my fridge, microwave, or any appliance.
