Tv licence

I forgot to pay the TV licence this year(human). They don't send courtesy reminders. It was due in January. Last month May 2020 I got a letter advise me that the account is handed over to the attorney and fat penalties added. I messaged the writter to advise of the oversight and remind him of the present difficult times we are all going through. I requested him withdraw the penalty I will gladly fulfill my commitment. This month, like a parrot he reiterated his demands adding further penalties. It's no wonder most people don't pay their licences. This is the kind of modern education we receive... capitalism and legally correct ****.
