TV licence

I have not had a TV device for the last six years. My old TV (bought in 1999) did not work, so I discarded it and repeatedly reported this to the SABC, with the necessary documentation. Regardless, I still received bills yearly. Out of desperation I have paid for the last five years, but this year I decided I had enough, as the first notice received was a threat to pay or be prosecuted. I ignored it and came to you, Please help.
