Shoddy public service

Trying to cancel a Tv License is an absolute nightmare. It doesn't matter that I have been sending the same affidavit for about 2 months, almost every single day, with no response from them. But their collection agency can send me a sms every day. It is as bad as any other call centre, you have no idea who receives the email because it is just a generic email address. One tries to do the right thing, but it becomes a nightmare. This is shoddy service and funded twice by the public. Yes, tax money pays for operations - public broadcaster- and we still have to pay license fees. Civil servants: you work for the public, treat us like the people who keep you employed - with respect. AT LEAST RESPOND TO MAILS AND PHONE CALLS!!!!!!!
