SABC & VVM Attorneys
Hello SABC and VVM Attorneys
I have received call today from SABC attorneys VVM, who now collecting current years License as being late.
How is it that 2019 TV license payments are being handled by “debt collectors”
Regarding my 2019 TV License: 1. As far as I recall my TV license has always fallen due in the mid part of the year. 2. No account was presented to me for any outstanding amount regarding my 2019 Tv License.
Given the above why am I receiving a calls and threatened by your call center agents at VVM regarding the payment of my 2019 TV Licence?
Regarding my penalties for outstanding Tv Licenses payment from prior years: 1. I have paid previous years outstanding Tv license. 2. I have explained in previous correspondence via telephone and via e-mail, that prior years was unpaid as I was not presented with an account for the outstanding balance. 3. I am entitled to receive an account and cannot be reasonably expected to settle my account if I am not presented with the account. 4. Because I was not presented with an account it is unfair, ********* and possibly ******* to attempt to levy penalties against me. 5. The penalties have not been settled as I do not believe I am liable for any penalties. 6. If you can provide proof that the account was presented to me I will settle the outstanding penalties.
Regarding your call center staff, and the call received to the 22 Feb 2019 after 5pm: 1. Your staff do not have the right to threaten me 2. Your staff do not have the right to cut me off and prevent me from speaking 3. Your Staff do not have the right to raise their voices to me.
I will be sending this complaint to the bar association as well.
