SABC TV LICENSES WITH INACCURATE COLLECTIONS, THEIR THREATS AND ***** DECT COLLECTION TACTICS AND COMPANIES

Beware: SABC and Hahn Collections Debt Recovery ****

Year in, year out, I've been experiencing a nightmare with SABC TV licences and their debt collection partner, Hahn Collections, who always send me scheduled harassing reminders that say I have failed to pay for my SABC TV license. Every year, despite paying my SABC TV license on time around July, which is the month when my renewal fees are due, I'm ALWAYS handed over to Hahn Collections that has a CallCentre that seems to be hiring very rude staff that always changes their tone, saying you must stop interjecting as they aee explaining to you. Once they open their system and confirm that indeed you paid on the due month as per your explanation, they always switch and then start to shout out very loud as they then obviously guess what might be the problem with your handed over account. This morning, I've called Hans Collections three (3) times regarding the frequently received harassing reminders of my "unpaid" SABC TV license renewal fee with added arrears, and I spoke with different staff there, and they all behaved the same - they switched and were very rude and unprofessional once they confirmed payment was received in the correct month in 2025. They were busy reminding me that their company received my handed over/ "owing" account from SABC, and I must go and Google SABC's contact number and query them and tell them to correct their records and not Hans Collections???

When I try to explain, in a calm and respectful manner, that I need to be furnished with their email address where I can provide them, too, with proof of payment, including for any other alleged previous nonpayment, since yearly, I ALWAYS provide such to SABC via email soon after paying for my TV license renewal fees, with SABC TV license number included, for my SABC TV license records to be updated, they always switch and shout/ become rude and unprofessional, and they refuse to give their names. It's a yearly cycle of frustration. If you're a SABC customer, beware!

I would not recommend dealing with SABC TV Licenses until they sort out their payment processing and collection practices.
