SABC TV Licence - Continual Harassment!!

I have been paying my TV licence for the longest time. I was due to pay this years licence in the beginning of July. I contracted COVID on 08/07/2021 and was hospitalized for 6 weeks. Unfortunately the LAST thing on my mind was paying my TV Licence.

Then the harassment started telephonically - I answered the phone once and I explained the situation. The caller said that can't I get someone to pay?! The calls kept coming despite blocking the numbers and of course the SMS's.

Below is the extract of the text messages that I received while in hospital even after explaining the situation to them and explaining that I would pay when I got out of hospital.

Note the tone of voice as well. 14/07/2021: Your overdue TVLic has been handed to Hahn Collections for urgent collection. Pay XX now. 15/07/2021: Your TVLic is overdue XX. Pay towards this amount to avoid further ACTIONS & 100% (max) PENALTIES. 16/07/2021: Your TVLic is overdue XX. Pay towards this amount to avoid further ACTIONS & 100% (max) PENALTIES. 22/07/2021: Should R318 not be received by 25/07 your TVLic Acc will be handed over for further action against you. 23/07/2021: Your TVLic is overdue XX. Pay towards this amount to avoid further ACTIONS & 100% (max) PENALTIES. 24/07/2021: You ignored a demand to pay XX on your TVLic. The Acc is now with a Manager for collection. PAY NOW. 27/07/2021: You ignored a demand to pay XX on your TVLic. The Acc is now with a Manager for collection. PAY NOW. 28/07/2021: FINAL NOTICE on your TVLic Acc. SETTLE XX to avoid further ACTIONS & 100% (max) PENALTIES. 29/07/2021: Your TVLic has been escalated to head of compliance to review your Acc and obtain payment. PAY XX NOW. 30/07/2021: Your TVLic has a balance of XX. It is important to SETTLE this IMMEDIATELY. 31/07/2021: FINAL NOTICE on your TVLic Acc. It is important to SETTLE this IMMEDIATELY. 03/08/2021: You continue to ignore lawful instructions to pay on TVLic. Collection actions have started.
