SABC Tv Licence Cancellation Nightmare

Last year I requested to cancel my TV licence and the Licence Dept advised me that I need to complete an Affidavit. However the document sent had preset statements to select and by marking any of them would mean I would be not be telling the truth. I therefore added a specific statement to state that I have a TV which is connected only to a DVD Player. After lodging the Affidavit I have been continually harassed by SABC Tv Licence and one of their collection agencies NuDebt, emails, SMS messages and phone calls. Despite responding to the emails both organizations fail to acknowledge or respond, to the point where I have now blocked the daily SMS messages, emails and phone calls. According to the conversation I had telephonically with NuDebt they made it clear I still have to pay for the Tv license even if I had submitted an Affidavit last year and that I do not have any means of watching Tv broadcast programmes. Where is the logic and simple understanding! I still refuse to pay for something I do not have, use or need.
