Sabc Tv Licece and Refund

I paid my sabc Tv licence via an imediate bank payment on the 28th of June 2016. The amount was R265.

Unfortunately my bank debited me twice for that transaction and I ended up paying Sabc Tv licence the amount of R530.

I contacted the call centre for the Tv licence and was advised that they can only confirm payments after 48hours and also process a refund between 6-8weeks.

I cannot comprehend why an imediate bank payment takes the Sabc 48hours to confirma and acknowledge proof of payment.

Further to this, I cannot also appreciate why my refund should take more than a month to be issued to me.

The sms the Sabc gave me towards the payment of the Tv licences said the account had to be settled by 30th of June.

I wonder how then they take a long turn around time when they give a deadline for payment and yet still are not able to confirm and acknowldege once the payment has been done.

I sent emails with the proof of payment and on their system they still see my account as unpaid.

I would want to appeal to sabc tv licence to kindly acknowledge the payments timeously and also kindly process refunds timeously not in a month or over a month as their call centre advised!

I also hope that they will make a point not to send me messages to the effect that my account has not been paid when it was paid before the 30th let alone summons.

I look forward to a favourable response.
