SABC Forcing Subscriber to pay double fees

This SOE has been receiving my monthly payments via debit orders and on Saturday 23 Feb 2019 when I wanted to bug a tv set was told that my account is in arrears with R280. I mean the subscription is R265 per year, than how is it that, even after paying it regularly for the past 13 years could be in arrears and after numerous request to provide me with a TV licence card or some proof of confirmation that I have one.

I was so disappointed, but because I wanted the smart TV which was marked down just had to pay the "outstanding Fees". I just wish that I could just stop paying for this rediculous licence for programmes that I don't even watch.
