Last year my account was sitting on over a thousand rand which was not good. I made an effort and paid my outstanding balnave at once using payment method provided by them on their app. Today i receive an email from them remaining me that my tv licence is up for renewal on the 1st of May. If i don't pay up by today on the 30th and beyond the payment will now be 402.00. I went to their site to make a payment to avoid paying the penalty. To my surprise my balance is exactly what is said if i don't pay before 30th April 2020. I call them and spoke to Makoma and enquired about why is my balance 402.00. She told me it goes back to 2017 penalties. I explained to her that last year i settled my tv license balance. She said she will send me my statement. I am waiting for statement and is not coming.
