My 72 year old grandmother had tried cancelling her tv license 6 years ago as her tv was broken and could not be fixed. She however today, tried to re-apply for a new one as she would like to purchase a new tv, to her surprise, her old license was never cancelled! Not only that, she is told she owes R4000! ***? Where on earth do they expect her to get that amount of money from, what from robbing a bank? Why was she still being charged for an OLD BOX TV that stopped working in 2012? Why are you *********** elderly people of their money?, seriously? Are you people that desperate for revenue that you randomly charge senior citizens for their little peanuts they get monthly? SHAME ON YOU MONEY ********!
