To whom it may concern,

I am sending in this email as all previous attempts to deal with your call centre have failed. Please review my account for detail of the interactions.

My Issue:

1. During the month of August 2017, I received a telephone call from your 3rd party collection agency MBD, stating that my TV License account was in arrears. This was news to me, as I had received no communications from TVlic in this regard.

2. I phoned your call centre on the same day and spoke to a gentleman.

a. He confirmed that my account was in arrears of R500+ (R265 Annual Fee and R250+ Penalties)

b. I informed him that I had not received and communications from TVlic, so we discussed what had happened on my account

c. He confirmed that all previous comms had been sent to my postal address as I had requested, but that the comms for 2017 had been sent via email – not what I requested. He could not confirm how the delivery method had changed

d. He further confirmed my Cell Number, Email Address and Postal Address on your systems at the time. All we wrong except for the Postal Address, which had been used previously for communications. I later that day registered an online account with TVlic and update my own details, as the agent did not offer to do this for me on the call.

e. I informed the gentleman, that I would gladly pay the Annual Fee (which I did the same day), but that I would not be paying the penalties, as it was through no fault of my own that the delivery method on my account was changed without my consent, resulting in the late payment.

f. The gentleman confirmed that he would deal with the penalty reversal and would phone me back to confirm that it had happened after about 2 working days. This of course did not happen.

3. I have subsequently spoken to 2 more agents in your call centre to resolve. The one lady said she would get the original gentleman to call me bad. This did not happen. The second lady put the phone down on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor.

4. I see now that after my payment of R265 Annual Fee on 11-AUG-2017, my account was credited and then debited again and now sits on R530 as detailed from your website below. No sure how this is possible for an organisation of your size, and all the other customers this is effecting in the same way.

5. I am now being harassed weekly by MBD with SMS’s and Telephone calls stating that I owe them money. Efforts to get them to do anything about it have also failed.

I need this issue resolved asap, or I will be taking the matter further given the resources at my disposal. This is a matter of principle, and I am simply being abused. Regards,

*****
