No response from SABC TV license dept

I notified the SABC several times that I wanted to cancel my TV licence in 2013, I used their website to notify them, I am unsure if they received the notification, as I continued to receive threatening e-mails from their lawyers since 2013. Their website did appear to not function properly when I submitted my first notification of cancelling my TV licence. I did send them another notification via their website as well as e-mail them from my e-mail account. I am living in an environment with an updated domestic TV licence since 2013 January. My TV licence was registered and fully paid in 2012. I therefore owe no money to them at all and I would seriously appreciate them to stop sending me threatening e-mails and reminders to pay ridiculous amounts because my TV licence is apparently in arrears. My TV licence was cancelled in 2013 January with a valid reason. My TV was also ****** just a few months after I took out the TV licence.
