MBD Outstanding Balance

I am constantly being contacted about the payment of an outstanding TV license ********** 76 which supposedly has an outstanding balance of R 795.00. I have yet to receive any official notification, from the SABC or MBD on this matter to let me know that my account has been handed over to MBD to collect the outstanding amount. I am also yet to receive an invoice or statement for this amount from the SABC. So, before I consider paying this amount I would like to be furnished with these documents by the SABC.

I have explained to every MBD agent who has called me that my TV was ****** in March of 2016, so I have not had a TV since then and considering that I last paid for me TV license in December of 2015, I should not be liable for any outstanding amount. I have been asked to supply proof of the ******* in writing, I have requested an email address, or an email to be sent to me with an email address to supply the case number, and I am still waiting for this email.

But here is the information anyways. My TV was ****** in March 2016, the case number for the ******* is 111-3-2016. The case was opened on the same day, you can contact the Beacon Bay Police Station on ********** 165.

I also have a query on the outstanding balance, the last payment I made was on the 21/12/2015, so if I owe anything to SABC it would be for the license in 2015, approximately R 260.00, why am I being charged R 795.00? As I have previously said, until I see and invoice and statement I am not paying anything.

I have also taken the advice given by your agents and tried to contact the SABC on this matter, twice, once on 05/09/2017 and the on the 21/09/2016 and I am still waiting on their feedback.

Please can I receive the requested documentation and can it be explained to me why I should pay for a service that I never received?
