Your enquiry dated 5 November 2015 regarding the poor signal has reference.
No person may have a television set in their possession and/or use a set without a valid (fully paid-up) licence according to the Broadcasting Act no4 of 1999 as amended. It does not provide for any exceptions or exemption on the grounds that you have cited. Also that a licence holder must notify the Corporation of any change of address within thirty days from the date of such change. Secondly,
A television licence is a levy which the State places on the possession of a device (television) with which one is able to access South Africa's broadcasting frequencies and does not constitute payment for SABC's TV programmes. Thirdly,
Please note that the TV-licence card has been replaced with a paid-up letter which confirms that one has a valid TV-licence and can be used for the purchasing of a television.
