Impossible to Cancel TV license
<p>Good day</p> <p>My husband and I moved in together 10 years ago and as a result need to cancel one of our licenses. We have been trying but this proves to be a nearly impossible task. We are unnecessarily paying for 2. Please let us know what the process is for cancelling a license.</p>

Your enquiry regarding the cancellation of your TV licence dated 27 July 2016 refers.
In the case of a married couple with TV licences in each name who shares the same residence we would require a copy of your marriage certificate and copies of both ID's.
Once the requested information is received the account which was opened second or last between the couple will be closed and the first account will be kept active. This process in known as merging.
