******* and Incompetence
I purchased a TV in December 2004. In Novemebr 2005 the TV broke when I was moving onto my husbands house. In 2006 I was asked to pay my Tv licence. I paid it and then faxed a cancellation affidavit to SABC saying I no longer have a TV. In 2009 I was told I owe SABC outstanding licence. I called them and explained I had cancelled the account and was asked to send another affidavit saying it cancelled, which i did. In 2011 again I was being asked to pay licence and went through same prcoedure calling and sending affidavit. Now 2015 MBD is contacting me saying I owe outstanding licence from 2006. I called and sent an email saying I dont have a TV. This weekend they have now merged my husbands account which is paid yearly with my account and demanding payment from him. He called and said we are married ANC without accrual and he is in no way liable for my accounts, he was basically told pay them or get listed with the credit bureau. so this company MBD doesnt listen to reason and feels they are above the law and can do as they please. this issue is now causing marital issuers for me and harrassment from this company to my husband is unaccepatable. Oubadsmann is now my only option!
