HARASSMENT

I have disposed of my television set and sent both an email and a written letter via registered post to the SABC as well as posted a complaint on the ICASA website to the effect that I am being harassed every day by the debt collecting agency employed by SABC to pay my licence. This is EVERY SINGLE DAY! Interest is accumulated and they simply ignore any correspondence. The threat to list me with a credit bureau prevails. Also against my constitutional right as a citizen who does not watch television has made every effort to inform the relevant parties. I understand many citizens are being harassed this way and even deceased people have outstanding accounts with SABC escalating daily with interest attached.

This cannot be legal behaviour.
