Cancelled TV License still being billed

In 2012 i sold me tv set to a private buyer and submitted the transfer of ownership letter to SABC and informed them that i do not have a tv set as from then. I mainly worked on my pc screen and have not bothered to purchase a new tv until this year. I wanted to re-activated my tv license but found that i was still being billed from 2012 till 2018. No communication from them and after reporting the issue i was simply ignored. I still have not received any communication from them or resolution on the account. They clearly do not care about the residents wanting to support them and they are the main cause that people do not want to support them.
