CANCELLATION OF TV LICENCE GOES UNHEEDED
On the 14th and 15th April 2015 I sent emails and on the 20/4/2015 a fax to the SABC [Email Removed] and *** advising them that my TV was ****** on the 9/12/2014 at my previous residence of 12 Gruss, North Champagne Estate, Lion Park. It was the first time I have ever owned a TV and it will be the last. I was so distraught over the incident I forgot the notify the SABC timeously of the theft. I sent them all the necessary documentation and the Police statement with the case no. As I had failed to notify them within 30 days of any change to my circumstances as per the written requirements on the back of the statement I received, I paid the R265.00 in good grace. And advised them accordingly.<br> I received no response from the SABC in any form except to acknowledge receipt of my payment and of course they managed to update my e mail address as I have now received a further renewal notice, but conveniently chose to ignore my cancellation request. I feel it is unfair that I have to pay for something that was ****** from me. I gained no monetary value from disposing of the TV. I feel this is ******ION, as they are demanding money for something that I do not have.
