bad services......cancelled 20 years ago ?HELP!!!!!!

I Cancelled my tv licence over 20 years ago when my tv broke .after a couple of year my wife bought a tv and she took out a licence on her name. after sometime i got a letter that i still owe them money .i contact sabc and them i cancelled the licence year back .the problem we have is they moved my wife particulars on to mine and we cannot pay the licence we try every time .the amount we owe is over R6000.00 . we wrote hunderds of letter email ,phone calls .
