To whom it may concern:<br> <br> In January 2014 I received invoice for the licence, I paid the yearly fee in May 2014, agreed it was late. However SABC decided to add for April, May 2014 penalties, again in Dec 2014, and Jan 2015. The last 2 were for not having paid the April and May 2014 penalties. At no time was I aware of the penalties, received an invoice or notification of penalties being added. This is unacceptable business conduct and I object to these penalties. Pleaselook into this matter, since payment for 2015 licence is due end of this month, thanks.

Your enquiry dated 13 February 2015, regarding the penalties levied on the TV licence with the number *** for late payment in your name has reference.
I have managed to reverse the penalties for the months you have made payment. The outstanding balance on your TV licence is R 291.50 which include your licence fee of R 265.00 for 1 March 2015 to 28 February 2016 and a penalty of R 26.50 levied in April 2014 which cannot be reversed as payment was only received in May 2014.
The amount of R 291.50 could or should be paid with your renewal which is on of before the end of February 2015.
