Account handed over without consulting customer
HI

I have been paying my TV licence diligently and sabc use to send communication every year by sms . Last year sabc stopped sending sms communication so I forgot pay my TV licence and payed it when I remembered . Due to that fact that, SABC was no longer communicated with me via sms , there were arreas that needed to be payed out but I was not aware of them because I did not get any letters that SABC send to me .Rolling over from last penalities still SABC did not make contact until it was 2months later after the due date of my licence payments, SABC without contacting me handed over my account to debt collectors .It has stop sms me and it did not make me aware of the arreas. What SABC did goes against consumer law \ 1. Indebting my account without acknolegdemet .2. Handing over my account to debt collectors without contacting the customer . The funny part about this is that the collectors have all my contacts phone and email .This is the amount i now owe is R 669.00. Can any resolve this matter

kind Regards
