BEWARE SAWebs advertises FREE website but makes you pay when you leave!

SAWebs created and hosted a website for us for the last year and a half (since Aug 2016). Since then we decided we would like to mange and host our site ourselves. The service they provide became relay slow.

When we signed up for the site back in Aug 2016 they had a Free web design package which they offered us at R149 per month. That is a 3 page website design for free included in the price. Now that we want to cancel they want to charge us for the website design R2750. They say it is in there terms and conditions. But none of this in mentioned in the contract that you sign nor was it verbally stated to us. No where R2750 is mentioned. My problem is this a company calming that the service is free then charging a customer for it at the end of the contract. The company does not state that the service is free only after 12 or 24 month contract. They just state that it is free and if you cancel after any amount of time then you have to pay for the free service. Paying the money is not the problem here. The problem is the company is advertising a free service that you will pay for at the end of the contract no matter what.

I believe this is just to lock a customer in so that you never can leave without paying a massive sum of money for very poor work done. This seems like a dishonest company so be aware of there doings. I would not rate there website very high as it is not well. And there customer service is very slow as well. I hope this reaches everyone trying to setup a new site. Do research on companies and read reviews.
