Third part experience.
Sau is good but the I'm not happy at all with the Third party department. They just CANCEL all the good work done by SAU.

To help you understand the process we advise the following:
- A 3rd party liability matter is not a claim, but a separate legal process and must be treated as such. They are subject to different timelines and subject to civil proceedings under South African law.
- The liability cover is not a promise of payment for all liability matters, it is however a promise that the Insurer will defend a liability claim against you (and by association, the Insurer) We refer to your policy wording, Section O (below)
- The 3rd party should not contact you directly. Should he attempt to contact you, please refer him to the Attorneys on record.
- We highly recommend that the 3rd party claim from his own Insurer or appoint his own attorney to negotiate with the Insurer
- Please also remember to not admit liability nor make offers to settle the 3rd Party directly as this could jeopardise your claim and the liability matter. The Attorneys are the most qualified to determine the apportionment of blame.
We trust this addresses your queries.
Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions
