still waiting for insurance to fix the car
<br> Hellopeter<br> <br> My father bought a car on the 28/01/2016.he took instore insurance with south African underwriters.few day after a car was delivered theres was a very a heavy rain/ hail storm,while he was on his was from the shops.the car was damaged by the rain.he called the insurance immediately to lodge a claim.last week someone was sent to assess the car,but until today we haven't heard abything from the insurance.everytime when my father call them,they are taking him from pillar to post.they are just playing with him as old as he is.when I call them myself im told im not the policy holder they cant discuss anything with me.can someone please update us as to how far is the claim and everything<br>
Please be advised that the repairs to your father's vehicle have been authorised. The policy incepted 28 January 2016. The damage to the insured vehicle occurred on 5 February 2016. The reason for the delay is because no premium was received for the month of February 2016 which is payable in advance. On request, premium was received on 10 February 2016 and there after administration of the claim could proceed. Further, due to legislative requirements such as the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, Policyholder Protection Rules, we may only confirm or disclose details with the policy holder. We apologise for any inconvenience caused herein.
