Roadside Assistance
I am appalled at the service I received in the early hours of Sunday morning. Yesterday around 5: 30am just before approaching Ashburton on the N3 I had car problems and I needed petrol. I called them and they could pick up my policy number but they somehow couldn't pick up my car yet they don't forget to deduct every month on my account. I was driving alone, I'm a female mind you and they wanted me to get out the car and get a vin number. it was not safe as it was so dark. I had to get assistance from somebody else to come bring me petrol as they did not assist me in any way. I want to be reimbursed the petrol that my friend had to go purchase as my insurance couldn't do nothing about it. I am very disappointed and very angry. All I needed was help to get home . Disgusted
We apologise for the lack of service you received over the weekend and state this is neither intentional nor the norm.
Unfortunately the service provider consultant used the incorrect vehicle registration number, thus your policy could not be identified. This has been addressed and we assure you of our best service in the future. The appropriate disciplinary and remedial action is taken against the consultant.
Please take note the roadside assistance benefit does not cover the cost of petrol, only the delivery cost thereof. We will offer you the amount R500-00 although we accept this will not satisfy the inconvenience caused.
