***** - BEWARE
I was a client with SA Underwriters for a year.

I insured my first vehicle with them - Vehicle A in June 2014. In may 2015 my second vehicle and in June 2015 my third vehicle. Then I cancelled my insurance and moved to Budget Insurance as their quotes was cheaper and more transparent.

On 25 June 2015 I sent a mail to the consultant working with my file. I asked to have my policy cancelled and that no ddebit orders go off on my account as my account was up to date.

I phoned them to confirm that the order will not go off as they have captured the details. They forwarded my mail to all relevant parties and cc'ed me in the mail.

On the 31st a premium went off my account and I had to reverse it, and stop the debit order. I incurred bank costs on this transaction.

The FNB stoped any further payments for the amount from this supplier. HOWEVER in July they used a different reference and amount and the order went through. I was livid. I AGAIN reversed it and again I incurred bank costs. NOW This month they changed it to something entirely else the, but they used a similar reference. They changed the supplier name and amount once again! Beware they will clean your account!!
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused herein and we confirm your policy was cancelled with effect from 30 June 2015 and no further premiums were debited from your account.
We hasten to add that unfortunately it was too late for us to stop the debit order being debited from your account on the last day of every month due to the weekend between your request and the last day of June 2015 as the banks require 4 working days' notice.
We further confirm the only debit from your account after your cancellation notice was the debit on the 30/06/2015 which you had returned by your bank.
We further advise the only other premiums debited from your account was done on the 10/06/2015 being the premium for the Kia Soul you added to the policy on the 05/06/2015 which premium was returned as unpaid which we again debited from your account on the 19/06/2015 to keep the vehicle on cover, these were all done prior to your cancellation notice.
Kind regards.
