DO NOT TAKE THIS INSURANCE
I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMEND THIS INSURANCE, it's been 4 months since I logged a claim with them but nothing has happened to this day. Yesterday I got a call from them telling me that the statement I had submited is not true. Apparently, I was supposed to log all the places I went to with my car on the day of the accident but still I dont understant how my statement is not true now because the location of the accident is confirmed to be the same as the one on the statement. They are now telling me that I should submit another statement which I really dont understand why because I'LL be essentially repeating my self and writing the same thing I wrote the first time. Secondly, they are now claiming that I was not the driver when the accident happened of which I was, and the person they claim was driving was a passenger maybe they want an eye witness I dont know at this point. I am truly unhappy with the service I got from SA underwriters, at this point I think they **** people their money honestly. SA underwriter what do you want from me? stop requesting information I have already provided its been 4 months now of you ducking and diving.
We confirm that you lodged a claim 1 month after taking out the policy. Due to this circumstance the Insurer reserves the right to fully validate the claim before making a decision on the outcome.
Part of the validation process is for the loss adjusters to obtain information from various sources in order to determine merits of the claim.
We refer again to your policy contract page 22, Section G, Point 6 - where it states
G. IMPORTANT: YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to have ongoing cover and a valid claim,you agree to always:
6. comply with all of our reasonable requests;
EXAMPLE When we or our agents (for example attorneys, assessors or claims adjusters) ask you to give us permission to get your cell phone billing or location information or hospital records to check a claim, you must do this within the reasonable time we give you.
A short term insurance policy is a contract between 2 parties and is subject to specific terms & conditions.
By accepting the policy you also accept and agree to abide by the terms & conditions of the contract.
Unfortunately, by failing to co-operate with the loss adjuster , you have delayed the processing of your own claim.
The Insurer cannot progress without the required information.
The loss adjuster is still competing the report for the Insurer and will make contact with you in order to bring the matter to a close. We kindly ask that you co-operate with them in order to bring this matter to a close
