Disappointed CLM

I made a claim on 7 April 2023. Today is the 22nd of June and it has not been resolved. I was in a car accident and suffered a head and pelvis injuries. My car was a write of. June 15, 2023 I was paying a third installment of a car that is no longer there. This has taken too long and I don't understand why. I submitted all the required documents within a week of lodging a claim. Loss adjuster has taken more than a month and still they are telling me that they are waiting for missing documents on their side.

I am really disappointed with SAU I must say. On top of everything I am going through due to this horrible car accident they are adding more stress. Claims Consultant- Akua Tigerls

Dear Queen Thulile S

We acknowledge receipt of your message and are sorry that you are unhappy with the processing of your claim.

Due to the circumstances of the claim, you were unable to remember how the incident occurred, therefore the Insurer had to trace witnesses and records to try and piece together the information regarding the incident.
This took longer than expected and was unfortunately unavoidable.
Rest assured that it was not the intention to delay the matter, unfortunately external factors influenced the process.
As a financial service provider SA Underwriting Agencies undertakes to settle all valid claims.
This means that a claim must be fully validated in order for the Insurer to reach a decision on the matter.
We can confirm that the claim team has contacted you to provide feedback.

Kind Regards

The SAU Team
